Drive-Thru is a theatrical intervention in a fast-food format. The "consumer" chooses what to watch from a menu with 8 monologues to pick from - each monologue takes maximum four minutes. In clear irony about the consumption society, the public order and watch individually to a mini show within a big acrylic box.
The Tropical Drive-Thru version was created to be performed in Rio de Janeiro in 2013. Co. Teatro Enlatado has invited authors from Rio de Janeiro to create inedit texts, thus increasing our unprecedented menu of contemporary drama. The texts were created by the play writers Alessandra Colassanti, Carolina Bianchi, Gabriel Pardal, Luana Carvalho, Vitor Paiva and Michel Blois.
Besides the Original version, Drive-Thru is also available on other versions: Nelson Rodrigues Drive-Thru, Contemporary Authors Drive-Thru, and Drive-Thru Kids .
